Wait. I'm confused. Didn't he look in the side windows to see her sitting there? How'd he manage that with the fence all along the sidewalk? I think I'm missing something. Perhaps he looked through the door window, but that is not how I remember it.
Joe (Tom Hanks) had Kevin (Dave Chappelle) go up the stairs and peek in through the door window while he waited on a bench and by the fence. So when Kevin finally saw her and said she was very pretty, Joe stood up and shook the fence saying, "I knew it! She had to be! She HAD TO BE!!!". Highly amusing. :-)
